The Department of Public Relations and Information at Dallah Al Barakah Group held its 7TH Annual Executive Forum in the Lebanese capital of Beirut from October 15-19 under the slogan “on track”

Most of the Group’s Leaders and executives came to join the event from around the world, where the group extended its presence as far as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Syria and South Africa and the United Kingdom, Morocco, Tunisia, Spain and others.
The forum which was sponsored by Sheikh Saleh Kamel, president of the group and attended by the CEO Abdullah Saleh Kamel started its deliberations on the 16th of October at Habtoor Grand Hotel. The Forum was aimed to develop the administrative talents of the top management and strengthen the spirit of loyalty among them as well as to continue the trend of innovation of the group performance so as to remain at a competitive advantage.
The program of this year included lectures and entertainment programs in which some of the most famous speakers and international experts took part by providing a variety of lectures focused on topics of contemporary management and strategy. The program included also a visit to the village of Meshrif, one of the group’s innovative projects in Lebanon, where Chief Executive opened the third phase of it.
The program of lectures was initiated by Sheikh Saleh Kamel who welcomed the audience and guests and spoke about the economic crisis currently facing the region and the world. He stressed the need to adhere to the Islamic principles in dealing with current crisis, with special emphasis on the Islamic banking system and its potential contribution to solve the economic problems that have swept the world. Sheikh Saleh’s talk stems from along- stand experience in the banking sector and reflected his personal convictions that he sought to spread to all financial institutions.
The program included an executive presentation of the CEO of Al Barakah Banking Group, Adnan Yousef who explained some of the trends and strategies of the ABG and announced the launch of the new logo which will be officially launched and go publicly soon.
The forum was also addressed by the well known economist Brad Bourland, the former economic adviser of Samba Financial Group and the current advisor of Jadwa Investment Company. He spoke on the current financial crisis sweeping the world and its impact on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf states.
One of the trendy issues presented at the Forum was the subject of the Blue Ocean Strategy by the international speaker Burt Gabor one of theorists and specialists in this area. In his profound lecture, Burt provided a comprehensive definition and practical application of the concept of Blue Ocean and the modern trends adopted in the international companies. Participants positively interacted with his lecture, especially the workshop and practical exercise.
The program of the Forum included also a lecture on the “The War on Talents and the Future of Human Resources,” by Larry Hochman, former Director of British Airways, a prominent speaker who trained many of the leading executives in various international companies all over the world. The subject of corporate governance was also presented by one of the specialists on this subject, Nick Nhidal, director of the Institute of governance (Hawkama). He talked about the most important development in this area and how the Dallah Group can be benefited from new trends of this concept.
On another issue, Dr. Sheriff Abdel-Azim, a lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering of the American University in Cairo focused extensively on the subject of Professional Ethics and its importance at work place and in our daily life. Dr. Sharif drew the attention to the absence of such a culture in our Arab societies.
To change the pattern of lectures and bring some sort of relaxation, the program comprises hourly topics related to life style, health food and conscious eating, through the lecture delivered by Maria Khalife, a known expert in this area. The lecture provided a good opportunity to participants to review some scientific aspects of these practices.
The program was concluded by CEO Abdullah Saleh Kamel, who thanked the participants and organizers of the Forum and called for extending such events to include intermediate levels of management. In conclusion, He handed over certificates of appreciation to participants and hailed the spirit that prevailed in the Forum, which contributed to its success and achieve its objectives.
It should be noted that the Dallah Executive Forum was initiated by Sheikh Saleh Kamel in 1996, and followed by six meetings ever since held in different locations of the world.
